Affordable Housing Design Advisor helps developers achieve good design in the affordable housing they build and in their neighborhoods.

Building Better Communities Network is an information clearinghouse dedicated to building inclusive communities with affordable housing and services.

Bureau of Labor Statistics compiles US Department of Labor income and employment statistics.

Center for Community Change is committed to reducing poverty and rebuilding low-income communities. It fosters community leadership and helps people develop the skills and resources they need to improve their communities and change the policies and institutions that adversely affect their lives.

Change Communications is a compilation of national policy links dedicated to community development.

Citizen's Housing and Planning Association is the non-profit umbrella organization for affordable housing and community development in Massachusetts. It also coordinates the New England Housing Network.

Enterprise Foundation is a national, nonprofit housing and community development organization working with partners to provide low-income people with affordable housing, safer streets and access to jobs and child care.

Fannie Mae's mission is to help more families own a home. It provides a secondary market for mortgage loans to low and moderate income buyers.

Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is the wholesale bank for housing finance in New England. It supports residential mortgage and community development lending activities of its member financial institutions. Member banks provide affordable housing grants.

Freddie Mac Freddie Mac provides lenders with mortgage and other financial service products which further housing affordability.

Housing Assistance Council is a national nonprofit corporation which seeks to increase affordable housing for low-income people in rural areas. It provides loans, technical assistance and training.

HUD Clips provides access to HUD's policies, procedures, announcements, briefings and other materials.

HUD Community Connections is the clearing house for HUD's Office of Community Planning and Development. It is the source for program regulations, case studies, publications announcements and referrals.

HUD Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) is the primary source for Federal Government reports and information on housing and community development policy and programs.

KnowledgePlex.org is an interactive site designed for affordable housing and community development practitioners, scholars and policy makers.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) provides funds and technical assistance to Community Development Corporations for neighborhood redevelopment. Priorities are set locally and LISC's national office provides a match for funds raised locally.

National Coalition for the Homeless is a national network of homeless persons, activists and service providers committed to ending homelessness through education, advocacy, and grassroots organizing.

National Congress for Community Economic Development is the trade association and advocates for the community-based development industry. NCCED does policy research and education. It provides trainings, conferences, and technical assistance.

National Community Development Policy Analysis Network's goal is to stimulate policy research on the development of low- to moderate-income communities, including, but not limited to, the work of community development corporations. Research that concerns "people" and "places" simultaneously is its main focus.

National Fair Housing Advocate serves the fair housing advocacy community and the general public with news and information on housing discrimination.

The National Housing Conference is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to affordable housing and community development. NHC advocates for policies and legislation that promote suitable housing in a safe, decent environment nationwide.

National Housing Institute examines the issues causing the crisis in housing and community in America including housing, poverty, racism, and community disinvestment. NHI publishes Shelterforce magazine.

NeighborWorks Network provides information on and education on community revitalization efforts. The Network supports the services of Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, Neighborhood Housing Services of America and a national network of public and private partnerships.

Pratt Institute Center for Community and Environmental Development promotes partnership between Pratt Institute's Department of City and Regional Planning and local organizations that are struggling to address issues of urban deterioration and poverty.

Right-to-Know Network provides free access to numerous databases, text files, and conferences on the environment, housing, and sustainable development. With the information available on RTK NET, you can identify specific factories and their environmental effects; analyze reinvestment by banks in their communities; and assess people and communities affected.
